Refuges and bivouacs in the Province of Cuneo
Structures located in places such as to constitute bases of support for the mountaineering activity are defined refuges, prepared and organized to provide, via manager hospitality, stop, rest, bed and related services, not achievable in any time of the year through roads open to normal traffic or lines through ropeway in the public service, except for the lift system
Hiking refuges are defined structures able to offered, through the operator, hospitality and catering to the users of the mountain, located in the mountain areas, accessible via roads open to normal traffic, lifts cables or tracks
Refuges are defined unmanaged masonry structures located in isolated places in the mountains, not handled or stored, but closed, accessible by users of the mountain by finding the keys at a public place equipped for overnight stays and for self-cooked meals by the users , as well as equipped with toilets with interior appliances, or to be placed in the structure.
Structures located in “very isolated places” in the mountains are defined fixed bivouacs, unattended and open permanently for users of the mountain, equipped with the essential emergency regufes
